It works fine and clips onto my desk edge and a shelf edge. The edges are close to an inch thick but it probably wouldnt stretch to anything wider so consider your location before ordering. The collar is not compatible with the eco daylight bulb I also bought as the bulb has a flat bottom its one of those modern spiral style ones but you can unscrew it so it will fit. That looks a bit unsafe though so cant really recommend it longterm. The Lamp Holder would be fine for a more traditional shape of light bulb Im sure

Ive set mine up in the hall way as its the darkest room the light stayed all day But not anymore it works every time no delay. It has three sensor settings and to what ever length of time you set it to stay on. Worth every penny.

This was a great addition to my video conference setup. It is bright enough to balance out harsh window light and the color temp controls helped dial it in to make everything look natural.The suction cup is the tacky kind so while Im sure it works, Im not willing to put it on my stuff. Luckily the tripod mounts make it flexible enough to use anywhere.
