First and foremost, if you dont already own the wifi bridge needed to set up your network of bulbs, this is the wrong one to buy. You dont get one included, Im sad to say. However, if you do own one, youre in luck This lightbulb is an E27 with an Edison fixing. Weve been installing the bulbs in all of our lamps, because if you have lighting with tiny spotlight bulbs they arent going to work. Do check before you buy. You simply attach the bulb, plug in your lamp or switch the light on and connect it with the Phillips app. I am seriously impressed, as you can control the brightness and set a timer for the bulbs to go on and off. And you can connect it to your Echo and ask Alexa to turn stuff on and off The quality is very good and Im genuinely impressed with it. The only drawback I suppose is that your lights have to be on at all times in order to control it. That said, I think it could be the future and its a great add on
