At first glance I thought that the base of the lamp seemed slightly light weight and flimsy but we use it in our conservatory alongside other lamps and as it gets dark, the lamp looks beautiful when switched on provides a warm, exotic ambience so were really pleasedIt was very easy to assemble, too, which is always a plus Id love to buy a couple more with different coloured glass shades but dont really have room
