You get a lovely orangey glow from these solar bee lights, I have had them for a while now, and after another set of string lights died recently, I bought a second pair and the new set has an updated flashing sequence which is better than the originals. Very pleased. Make sure if you are buying that it says SOLAR and not battery, I bought the wrong set by mistake
