I went with the multicoloured version because I like to be able to have mood lighting as such. Its a tad more expensive than the white coloured version, and it only comes with 1 set as opposed to 2. But 1 set is easily enough for my bedroom.Ive used quite a few LED sets in the past, and I think this set is better suited for outdoors as its waterproof. Having said that, its still pretty good for indoors My main gripe being that it doesnt have adhesive on it which some others do, so I needed to use a small amount of sellotape to get it onto my wall. In addition, it uses batteries rather than mains power which again is intended for outdoor use where there are no mains sockets nearby. Batteries are not included.You get 16 colours and 4 different colour modes, which is nice. You also get a timer mode which basically turns the lights off after 6 hours and turns them back on 18 hours later. Pretty good if you want them to be on when you come home at say 6PM after work, and then turn off automatically at midnight while you sleep.Would recommend for outdoor use rather than indoor, but will still work indoor
