Using these for streaming games on twitchYouTube, and cutting videoscasts. They are BRIGHT I literally have to turn them down 1click from lowest setting in a dark room. Thats fine by me honestly. They do remember their most recent setting when turned off, as long as they are plugged in. They will default to high when unplugged. I havent used the gels at all, but they seem like any gels for any photographyvideo lighting.Do I recommend them Yup

So the lights work and do indeed dim as advertised, I think ita a bit pail of a shade of white but I dont know a lot about lighting… But the real problems with this product are1 The limited length on the cable Keeps the lights within 3 or so feet of a power source and even in a small room this really limits your placement options both horizontally and vertically. This cable length also means pulling at a light which exacerbates the next issue,2 The lightweight stands are so lightweight it makes them frustrating to work with because one wrong move will make them fall over and the lights make them super top heavy.I am still using the lights, but I had to get some usb extension cables and converters that let me connect the lights to my microphone stands to work around these problems. I would also add I think these lights are more meant for close up lighting rather than area lighting, but for the price its a good deal.

I was looking for small portable lights that I could use for video work and live streaming when I came across these babies I love that you can adjust the brightness and the colored gels add an extra bit of creativity to any project whether it be for setting mood in a scene or just cool background light to spice up your live stream or conference call The fact that they are usb makes them more versatile. Just grab a phone charger adapter and plug them straight into the wall outlet or you can plug them into your laptop when theres no outlets to be found I love these things and Ill be sure to buy a couple more in the futureFor anyone wondering about the qualityThe stands they come with are pretty light plastic and are pretty much just selfie sticks that screw onto low profile tripod legs.Where the ballhead attaches looks like you could use the sticks for a GoPro also, if you wanted. The lights themselves are made of a light plastic with a pretty long usb cable

For the price and size they are great lights.Pro1 Very Bright2 Dimmable3 Easy to set up and break downCon1 Need USB source for powerWhat is nice is the ability to dim the lights. Taking a few minutes to adjust your lighting, you can setup a decent shot, reducing hot spots or glare. for Team or Zoom meetings,. I do have a green screen behind me, the lights allow for a near perfect use of a virtual background with no noticeable pixilating or background bleed in around the edges. In my case, I do have a window and natural light available to the side. Can adjust the light to fill in as the sun goes down. The diffuser included with the lights does help with lighting. Have not had the opportunity to use the various colors included in the kit.Currently using my Surface Pro camera, do prop up to give a straight on shot. Prior to the meeting, will use the Surface camera with the grid option to adjust my lighting, get chair set for proper camera shot check audio levels. Use a wired 3.5mm headset. Have various colors to blend in with my shirt.Since there is a wall behind me, went to Hobby Lobby, purchase 2 yards of green material and tacked up on the wall, cost 12 with coupon, save 4.Although only using a 2 lights on a shoot can be a challenge, using the dimmable function will give you the opportunity adjust your lighting to optimize your setup. The lights do require a USB power source. Using an extension cord with a couple of no longer used mobile phone chargers solved the problem. Also have a multi USB power source that I will use occasionally.

The lights are actually very bright for their size. They are SMALL. I guess I should have paid more attention to the dimensions but I guess I got what I paid for. I also got the standing tripods and they are terrible and wobbly. They do not stand well on their own unless you get them positioned perfectly. However, like I mentioned the lights are actually very bright for the size and the added color templates work well.EDIT After just a couple uses the entire legs of one of the tripods are destroyed. It will not stand at all because it is broken. I dont even know how it broke when I hardly use them.

I am using these lights to provide light on my background. They are very light weight, but have enough power to light up my back ground with the right light color tone. The brightness is adjustable and comes with a couple of light filters. These lights are not bright enough to use outdoors except in low light conditions ie…darkness. Could be mounted to a video camera as there is a 1420 mount on the bottom of the light assemble. I was disappointed in the construction being all plastic. So here is my pros and cons list.Pros 5600K output color tone Brightness adjustment Light weight light panels Fully articulated mounting stands USB powered Can be powered from a USB battery pack that you use on your phone Compact Very portable Cons Plastic construction including stands giving it a cheap look and feel No USB power supply No carrying case Could be brighter03102020 UPDATEAfter using these lights for several shoots I find that they are just not bright enough except to use as modeling lights with a white umbrella to soften the light. They did not have ample power to eliminate all my background shadows. So not a total waste of money. Also, you need a good USB power supply. I was using my Apple phone power supply and it would over heat. Once it got hot the light would only stay on for about 30 seconds at a time. Getting a better USB power supply solved the problem.

Im a Twitch and YouTube Partner and needed lighting desperately but with the Pandemic dont really have the funds for expensive lighting. These lights are perfect for you and work extremely well, though I do suggest getting different mounts for them as the ones provided are really cheap and hard to work with.

Not what I expected or needed. Basically, I was looking for some little, powerful led lights for occasional rim lighting on video shoots, or using the included color cells, to create some colored background lighting. They simply dont have enough output to even do much for rim lighting, much less anything else that requires even a little power. Id imagine these may be useful for very small product shoots at close range, but otherwise are so underpowered that they were useless to me. Not to mention that they were very cheaply made. Maybe worth the low price of 30 to some, but Ill spend more for something better.
