I do some recording and game streaming, and recently changed rooms and needed new lights.These lights were inexpensive, and pretty much perfect. Not perfect but more than perfect for the costForget expensive lighting. These things are a set of 2 and are bright.The color filters and such are just added bonuses.My criteria was that my lights needed to be LED low power and bright color and dimmable.They also needed to fit my desk space…which was a challenge since I have 2 32 monitors on top of monitor stands roughly 25 or 26 in height. These lights can extend over my monitors without issue.The stands and arms are adjustable so not only can I change height I can change angle from various points.I ended up using one turned backward bouncing off the wall to diffuse the light for the front, then I use the other with the blue filter for lighting behind me. Its perfect.Things I wish were better but are far from deal breakersThe lights are USB powered, but I wish the connector allowed you to daisy chain them.The lights are versatile, but there is no cable management. I zip tie the wire with the control to one of the legs of the baseTurning the light off then on again will allow you to keep your brightness setting VERY GOOD but unplugging the USB power will reset that.All of these are minor things, and for the price these lights I cant recommend enough.

The best use for these is probably to add some color behind you in the background. The switchable color overlays make that easy. Controls allow for precise brightness control hold the button down to change it slowly, or a click goes in bigger increments. However if youre on a budget they work acceptable as front lights to light up your face. The plastic covers diffuse the light some.They use USB power, but dont include power plugs just the cable. This is a somewhat annoying trend among all electronics. The stand is plastic so be careful, it could break easily if stepped on. They easily fold up for transport and storage. Overall these are very nice, especially at this price point.

These lights are okay, not the sturdiest construction, made entirely of plastic. Given the price point I knew they wouldnt be the highest quality but was hoping for better. My biggest issues is after six uses there is already a row of LEDs out on one of the light panels. These are good for someone on a budget looking for a quick small area lighting solution.

Real person here. Not a review bot. I work from home and am a sign language interpreter. I needed great lighting so Deaf clients can see me clearly and these did the job. I have one on each end of my desk and they plug in via usb. I can adjust the height and rotate the lighting as well as turn up or down the brightness. The quality feels a little meh but for 42 what do you expect. Had these been more expensive I wouldve given 4 stars for that reason only. I have them on for 45 hours at a time and they never made my space warmer or hot. They do the job and are light weight and easy to move around. When Im not working I set them to the side of my desk so I dont keep them up 247. They dont match my aesthetic . If they came in white that would be awesome

The lights themselves seem to be very good construction and the included filters are easy to use. My only concern has to do with the elumination properties of the lights. With the lights set at proper distance and the tone to my desired liking, the lights were not powerful enough to light the subject as needed. to accomplish this I needed to move the lights much closer to the subject. Maybe I am using them wrong or have a warmth level the requires the lights to be closer way closer… to where they are a struggle to keep out of the shots, either way I would like them to be a bit stringer to support the warmth setting. NOTE distance was about 3 feet

These things are not sturdy and fall over very easily and mine has tipped over during video meetings a lot and even hit me on the face once. I also knew that I was in trouble when I started using duct tape on the first use. I did not find it easy to adjust at all. If you want something cheap and you dont mind the lack of stability, I have to say the brightness is great. If you need something thats going to stand up to tiny movements on a desk or not come apart if you frequently transport it then do NOT get this. Spend a little extra money and get some thing sturdier.
