The fact that the solar charger can be placed remotely, makes this light a must have. the light output is good. I will be buying another.. get one, you wont be dissapointed.

Good lamp for a bedside table.Reading should be less eyestraining given theneardaylight bulb.Mine came readyassembled in the box so perhaps some reviews refer to the floorstanding version.My only gripe is the fact that the necessarily large base has a slightly convex top whereas,had it been flat,would have allowed other bedside bits and pieces to be placed upon it.Apart from that and its lack of beauty,a worthwhile purchase. Addendum After just under three years of use the bulb failed.Replacement bulbs failed to work.The fuse was checked and found to be ok.On examination the plastic surround to the circuit board within the base was found to have melted on one side.For safety reasons I had to dispose of the lamp.Although it worked well for some time I feel its useful lifespan should have exceeded three years.Would not buy another due to safety fears.
