We bought this light because of the good reviews and because running a cable would have been tricky. Our front door is west facing and on a sunny day only gets direct sunlight from lunch time. Unfortunately thats not enough to charge the light, especially not in winter. Today was such a day and about 1hr after dark the light was too weak for the house number to be read from the end of the n drive.Conclusion Under the right circumstances probably a good product, unfortunately not for us, though.
