IF YOURE HAVING INITIAL CONNECTIVITY ISSUES WITH THIS LIGHT, I HAVE ONE SOLUTION FOR YOU THAT MAY WORK DOWN BELOW So I will fully admit that the hype that I had for this light was unreal. I was excited. I was hyped up at the idea of being lit up without having to turn on my overhead room light or other lighting tactics.But the initial setup of this light was ABSOLUTELY FRUSTRATING.The first day I got it, I tried at least 15 times of resetting the light, tried both the computer app and the android app, reset my router, tried other connections I had nothing worked. I double checked that my WIFI was the required GHz and the required encryption and it was. I was convinced that the light I had gotten was defective and sent it back for a replacement. Well, this wasnt the case.I got the replacement in today and started having the same issues. Completely frustrated and ready to send this back and just give up, I had my dad sit at the computer on the webpage for our router and he started tinkering with it. After some modifications to our connection, and a reboot, we finally got it connected. SOLUTION We had a WPA, with a TKIPAES encription for the connection and that solved my issue IMMEDIATELY. I can now fully control this from my phone and I literally jumped for joy when this thing worked. ProsSuper brightWarm Cool colors are awesomeThe desk mount extendable pole is a must have for anyone who has their monitors on mounts.ConsFRUSTRATING INITIAL WIFI CONNECTION SETUP Corsair, please listen to your reviews and make this bluetooth enabled, or give us a WPA pairing button on the lightExpensive for the trouble you MAY have to go through to set it up and only for one lightbut honestly, so worth it when you get it workingAll in all, when you can get this thing connected to the wifi, its an amazing light But the initial wifi connection needs some work and Corsair needs to have other options available in case the wifi connection fails because not everyone may have techsavvy people at their disposal.Im giving it a 4 out of 5 star review because of the fact I had so many issues with it and it made me want to tear my hair out.
