I have a number of Mr Beams lamps for both indoor and outdoor use. Consequently Im aware of their strengths and limitations. Essentially if you want a reasonably bright light above your doorway that is switched on via motion detection, and also dont want the hassle or cant use main electricity for it these are a good option. Battery life is ok although all batteries dislike very cold conditions. The limitations are a less bright light than most mains powered floodlights. Easy to install, can be placed almost anywhere, easy to replace batteries and an effective if limited range and brightness. Horses for courses.
