Im no light professional. I got these to help light my new quarantine gym to teach virtual fitness classes. The base is the worst, they topple over at the drop of a hat. Super top heavy. Aside from that, with 2 positioned off screen of a zoom call they arent bad. I LOVE the diffent shades they provide, the blue one amps my UVblack light party

I love these just dont worry about the mastery y cable. I have yet to figure out what it is for. It does not work as a splitter and I read somewhere that it is to complete the loop and add power to a four light setupnope I added these to an LS100 starter to light up the desk while the starter kit lights my monitor. Love it. I did not use the magnets to install, just take the magnets off the lights and use two sided 3m exterior grade 2 sided tape and go for it. They are beautiful and so easily controlled in iCue. If you understand iCue some great tutorials by Alex Krastev on YouTube Also see my review on the LS 100 starter kit for tips on the setup.

Really easy to install. Bought extension cable and splitter to link two strips. The plug into the controller is different to the others. In the end I cut the 2m cable to 1 meter and cut off the strip at the cut mark by the plug. Used the provided connector to then join the plug to the 1m length that had a socket on the end. I could then connect the extension cable into this strip and into the strip under the other cupboards. If you get the plugs around the wrong way the strip wont light.
