The lamp is quite sensitive to passing movement which is good but it lacks an onoff switch. This would be useful to have when the light isnt required eg if an animal is wandering about and keeps triggering it onoff for 30 second bursts.The lamp gives a broad spread of bright, white light on my patio but not a particularly long throw toward the end of the garden. The fence 30 feet away is lit and the trees beyond but nowhere near as brightly as the area immediately in front. Looking back at the lamp from 30 it is very bright.Havent had the unit long enough to know how much charge it receives on the short dull days in Nov Jan, and if its sufficient to power it for the long dark nights, but so far its looking good.Not cheap but still a lot less than some other models out there.The 5 metre lead is a good useful length too.Overall if feels a quality product, quite robust but just lacks a way to turn it off.
