The glass shades are reflective-plated to hide the bulb when off and light beautifully when switched on. Operated by a pull cord; a large nine-light semi-flush ceiling light is also available in this range.

I do like aspects of this room thermometer. I like the appearance. It is a big size and has a bright light, that you can dim. You can quickly see and from a distance what the room temperature is.It comes with a short USB lead, but no plug adapter. Initially I wasnt too bother, I just used the plug adapter from a phone, but it doesnt appear to have any charging ability. I have to keep it plugged in all the time which I didnt realise when I purchased. I dont like having an appliance plugged in near the baby all the time, especially if Im not there, so not using it in his nursery. I also cant use it for travel. It was relatively pricey for what it is. I wouldnt buy it again.
