The Lantern is up and working … so 3 Stars, but it was a performance fitting it on the wall.1. The hole for the cable is made for a slim round lighting cable, so if your cable is larger than that you will struggle. I managed to mangle the gromet in the process.2. The backplate is made of plastic, so when you attach the metal lantern it tends to pull the whole thing forwards and away from the wall. I ending up putting a bead of sealant around the top arc of the backplate to stop rainwater trickling in.3. The two metal mounting bolts are pushed through from the back and have a tendency to move backwards just as you are trying to get the little front nuts on. Very frustrating If I were to fit one again, I would glue the bolts in to stop them moving. 4. Finally, the two little bolts that secure the cap are not actually bolts, they are nuts on short threading screws. The come apart most unhelpfully, especially when you are up a ladder It would be a good idea to fix the nuts onto the screws before you start trying to fit the cap on. In summary, this product is probably similar to a lot of others out there in this price range, with similar shortcomings and niggles. It does work so 4 stars overall seems reasonable.
