These are quite bright. I use mine in a basement shower stall and the light is adequate. My first one lasted about 1 year when it stopped sensing motion. Well see how long this new one lasts.

This light is perfect. It lights up the passageway between our house and next doors which leads from our back garden to our front garden. It it perfect. You can set it to suit your needs so ours is set so that it would go off if someone approached our gate but not if some just walks past our house. The batteries are still going after a year
