This is a versatile lamp given the fact that I can be placed on a table top or clapped onto the side of any table, given its large and se yes peg.I placed it on my bed side table and I dont find it bright enough for me to read in bed. Because of the angle of the light, if you place the book right under it, its very bright, but if you place it a bit further away and not facing the book, then its not that good.That makes it an ideal desk lamp, but not bedside table.

For a basic installation of a light pendant theyre all you need. Come with everything you need apart from screwsrawl plugs to fix them to the ceiling. So, yes they include terminal blocks. Backplate is transparent plastic, which is unusual but fine. Wires going to light pendant just wrap around hooks on the back plate for strain relief, so if you have a very, very heavy lamp shade they might not be the best solution.
