This works as advertised and actually looks pretty good mounted when the light is not on basically looks like a smoke detector mounted. works well and provides a decent amount of light. I am using this under a front porch to provide light at the entryway if you come home and the house outside lights are not on. The only thing that drops it a star in my view is that when it is on it look somewhat silly given that the light is not shielded from the body and it makes the plastic glow with weird shadows on the sides from all the components inside. If you have this mounted off to a side where nobody is going to see it directly most of the time this is really a non issue but just does not look quality when you see it.
