Nice shape and lights up immediately unlike the original low energy bulbs.

Good value, long life and eco friendly as well as giving a good bright light.

This was bought for a vintage Anglepoise lamp that had recently been rewired. The lamp is used mostly for background lighting rather than for close work such as reading so I chose the warm white version. And the 60w equivalent bulb because I guessed that was what might have been used in it originally. The inside of the lampshade is unpainted aluminum and possibly affects the amount of light from the bulb. In any case it proved insufficiently bright for my purpose and therefore I have now changed it for the 75w equivalent i.e. 11.5w LED, 1055 lumens which is fine. The shape of the bulb suits the Anglepoise perfectly.

Buying a light bulb seems to be such a trial as there are too many types to choose from. Having looked elsewhere with no success I finally found it in my local John Lewis store. So far, so good it still lights up the room

It is a light bulb. When you put the switch down it lights up when you put the switch up it goes out.
